I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms, although well-equipped, were not very clean, with a disgusting bath and thick dust under the bed. I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The staff were incredibly helpful and the location couldn't have been better in the heart of York. The rooms were clean and comfortable, although a bit noisy. The dining options were convenient, and the facilities were great.

Our room was on the first floor overlooking the outside seating area for the pub, but surprisingly quiet considering the hotel was full. The 2 USB sockets on each side of the bed made charging our devices a breeze. Cleanliness was top-notch.

I had a lovely evening at the hotel. The room was fantastic if you desired a view, but it overlooked the road. Unfortunately, it was not ready until 3:25 PM, even though we had booked 2 family rooms. The howling wind through the windows on the first night was a bit bothersome.
